A southbound section of Christchurch's Southern Motorway which closed this evening following a four-vehicle crash has reopened.
No injuries were reported after police were called to the scene around 5.30pm, police said.
A 1.6km section of the motorway between Berketts Rd and Weedons Rd near Rolleston was closed. It has since reopened.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays," a spokesperson said at the time.
