A woman has been arrested following an aggravated robbery, a carjacking, and police car being rammed in Hamilton this morning.
Police were called following a report of a woman threatening people inside a vehicle in Nawton before fleeing the area with the car around 7.15am.
The vehicle was found in Nawton about 11am and police signalled for the driver to stop.
The woman fled from police and a pursuit was initiated, during which the driver rammed a patrol car, Detective Sergeant Matt Lee said.
She then fled the area.
The vehicle was found abandoned on Palm Grove Dr in Western Heights a short time later, and the woman was seen taking another vehicle.
Police "pursued the second vehicle at low speed" before it was spiked, Lee said.
A 26-year-old woman has been taken into custody and faces a number of charges, including aggravated robbery, burglary, failing to stop, and assault.
