A man was arrested, and a homicide investigation has been launched after the death of a woman in Auckland yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to the Wyvern Place address in Glenfield at around 4.25pm and found a woman "who suffered a serious injury".
"The victim was transported to hospital in a critical condition but was unable to be revived," Senior Sergeant Scott Sherer said.
A 51-year-old Browns Bay man was arrested and charged with murder.
He will appear at the North Shore District Court later today.
