A person on a mobility scooter has died after a collision with a vehicle in Hamilton this afternoon.
Police say they were called to the scene on Peachgrove Rd around 2.20pm.
One person was taken to Waikato Hospital, where they later died.
The vehicle left the scene but has since been found, and the driver is assisting police with their enquiries.
Part of the road was closed while the serious crash unit carried out a scene scene examination and has since reopened.
