A teen who shoved an older woman off a pier into the water in Victoria has escaped a criminal conviction.
Footage of the incident shocked Australia when it came to light earlier this year.
It had originally been thought the victim of the then 14-year-old's attack was a man, but it's since been confirmed it was a woman.
She could not swim and bystanders had to help her to safety.

The teen was on bail at the time of the incident for assaulting a 35-year-old woman, 9News reported, and was currently serving diversion for that offence.
However, the magistrate heard he was remorseful for the attack at the Mornington Pier. He was given diversion, which included mandatory counselling and education courses.
"We're very pleased with the outcome," the teen's father said outside court, 9News reported.
Also outside the courtroom, the now 15-year-old did the fingers to those waiting.
