The Warriors have won three on the bounce in the NRL but face the tough task of getting over the top of the table Melbourne Storm this weekend at Mount Smart Stadium.

The Warriors have come away with wins against the Panthers, Dolphins and Cowboys with the latter being a comfortable 42-12 win in Townsville.

Warriors head coach Andrew Webster said he is happy with how his side's been going over recent weeks with rookie players having to step up in the absence of key players.

"We won way more games in a row last year … we're not taking anything for granted because it can be taken away from you," Webster told Breakfast host Jenny-May Clarkson.

Shaun Johnson talks to Te Maire Martin and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad during a Warriors training session this week.

For the last three matches, the Warriors have been without star halfback Shaun Johnson who was injured. However, he will make his return this weekend to start alongside Te Maire Martin.

"Shaun won't be so dominant all the time but will soon have a big impact on the game, he wants to let Te Maire run the show again," Webster said.

Martin has played the previous three matches at halfback while Johnson was injured but will move back to five-eight this weekend.

Webster said Johnson is "too good of a player to not be included" in the team and that both Johnson and Martin will look to build a strong combination in the halves.

"It will allow Te Maire to do what he's been doing in recent weeks, and if the opposition put all their defensive numbers on Te Maire, then I'm sure Shaun will take advantage and vice versa."

On a personal note, Webster said he doesn't get nervous before matches but during the game is where he feels the most pressure as the match is out of his hands at that point.

"The most nervous I get is during the 80 minutes, game day is pretty easy for me but when the game starts, that’s when I get nervous."

Warriors team to play the Melbourne Storm this weekend:

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, Rocco Berry, Adam Pompey, Marcelo Montoya, Te Maire Martin, Shaun Johnson, Addin Fonua-Blake, Wayde Egan, Jackson Ford, Marata Niukore, Mitchell Barnett, Tohu Harris. Interchange: Chanel Harris-Tavita, Dylan Walker, Jazz Tevaga, Kurt Capewell.
