A person has died at a fitness centre in Auckland's Parnell this morning.

Police were notified that a person was unresponsive shortly after 11am.

"Despite efforts from first responders, the person was pronounced deceased at the scene," a police spokesperson said.

Police will make inquiries on behalf of the coroner.
