Lane reopens on Auckland motorway after person dies

A lane on Auckland's Southwestern Motorway that was blocked this afternoon following a death has reopened.

Emergency services earlier attended the incident at an area of the Southwestern Motorway near Māngere Bridge, which also saw a section of Gloucester Park closed off.

A police spokesperson said the death would be referred to the coroner.

New Zealand Transport Agency said the earlier crash has now been cleared and all lanes are open.
