Country Road mugs in certain colours have been recalled due to a safety hazard.
The company posted on social media and to its website saying a manufacturing defect in some mugs is causing them to break when hot liquid is poured into them.
The recalled products are the two-tone demm mug in sapphire, Bermuda, lilac and dark olive.
The recall applies to any mugs purchased between November 1 2023 and May 24 2024.
"This defect can pose significant risk, which can result in burns, lacerations, and scalding."
The company said customers should stop using the mug immediately and return the products to any Country Road store for a refund or replacement in a different design.
This recall is being conducted with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). It applies to all mugs purchased from Country Road in Australia and New Zealand or from stores stocking the company's products.
