Clareburt's secret snack

The star of the New Zealand Olympic swimming team has been in scintillating form in the pool.

His victory at the Sydney Open at the weekend in his specialist 400m individual medley event is hopefully a taste of things to come in Paris.

But it's a taste for the humble steak and cheese pie that he revealed to Olympics Reporter Michelle Prendiville.

The 24-year-old said "it doesn't sit too bad [before training]". "Sometimes you might get the odd part that wants to come up, but most of the time it's pretty good."

You can catch Michelle's behind-the-scenes interview with Lewis next Tuesday.

Drag Race to Paris

The Olympic torch is currently making its way through the stunning French countryside. Notable torchbearers include former NBA star Tony Parker and legendary footballer Didier Drogba.

Among the contingent, it was drag queen Miss Martini bringing the real colour to the relay so far.

She had to keep to the official white t-shirt uniform, but made a few embellishments to make sure there was plenty of French flair still on show.

NBC drops it like it's hot

Snoop Dogg's colourful Olympic commentary in 2021 – namely his analysis of the equestrian and "crip-walking" horses - has earned him a recall to NBC's coverage team.

The American network also revealing it plans to put heart-rate monitors on athletes' parents, so it can capture their reactions as they watch their children compete live on air.

As if including Snoop in the coverage wasn't off-beat enough.

Michelle’s French phrase of the week

If Clareburt plans on keeping up his pre-training traditions, he’ll need to know: “souffle toujours sur la tarte".

Always blow on the pie.
