Person seriously injured after stabbing in Auckland

A person has been seriously injured in what is believed to have been a stabbing at a business in Auckland this evening.

Police say they were called to a commercial address on Mason Ave in Ōtāhuhu just before 5pm.

A person was being taken to hospital in a serious condition with "injuries consistent with stab wounds", a police spokesperson told 1News.

Officers were at the scene while they searched for a person in connection with the incident.

Police believed public safety "is not at risk".
