Police have released a photo of a man sought over an aggravated robbery at a Tokoroa Four Square on Sunday night.
Police said a man, armed with a large knife, walked into the Balmoral Drive store and demanded cash and cigarettes.
"The staff did the right thing when faced with an armed intruder, and handed over an amount of cash while the offender took tobacco products.
"Thankfully, the staff were not harmed, but were shaken by what had occurred, and they are being offered support."
Police were urging anyone who recognised the man to contact them immediately.
