Homicide investigation launched in Hāwera after man found dead

A homicide investigation has been launched in Taranaki after the death of a man last night.

He was found with serious injuries in Hāwera's Gladstone Rd after police were notified of a disorder-related incident at a property at 10.17pm.

"Police will remain at the scene conducting a scene examination and further inquiries," said police.

A post-mortem examination will be completed in the next few days.

"More information will be released when we are in a position to do so."
