The Breakers continue to sign players in the off season with a young Kiwi set to join their ranks for the 2024/25 campaign.
The Breakers have signed talented Kiwi shooting guard Mojave King, who most recently played his basketball in the Indiana Pacers system.
21-year-old King was born in Dunedin but was raised in Brisbane and was drafted last year by the LA Lakers into the NBA as the 47th pick.
"I was born in New Zealand...not too sure if people know that, my mum and my sister as well. My whole family is Kiwi...expect for my Dad," said King.

King has been impressed with the squad that's being constructed by Breakers head coach Mody Maor.
"It sounds like a really good thing he's trying to build moving into next season, something I could benefit from and add value to," said King.
Maor said King brings an interesting combination of size and unique physical abilities.
"He's a very good athlete with a good feel for the game...that has not been on display yet, completely," said Maor.

"I'm very lucky and happy that we get the opportunity to put him in this environment and see how it plays out."
In the Breakers off season, they have been able to retain star import Parker Jackson-Cartwright for another season.
King has previously played in the Australian NBL as well as representing the Southland Sharks in the NBL before his big move overseas.
King has a strong Otago basketball background with his father, Leonard, being a Nuggets NBL import from the US in the 1990' and his mother, Tracey, represented the New Zealand national team.
