The daughter of a prominent Australian businessman has been named as one of the victims killed in a mass stabbing at an eastern Sydney mall yesterday.
Dawn Singleton is among the six people who were fatally stabbed by 40-year-old Joel Cauchi inside Westfield Bondi Junction on Saturday afternoon.
The 25-year-old is the daughter of multi-millionaire advertising guru John Singleton.
She was an e-commerce assistant at White Fox Boutique inside the complex.
Her employer posted a social media tribute on Sunday.
"Over the weekend we lost not only an employee... but someone special to us who felt like a family member. We are all truly devastated by this loss. Dawn was a sweet, kind hearted person who had her whole life ahead of her.
"She was really amazing. We send our love and deepest condolences to her partner, the Singleton family and her friends.
"She will always be remembered as part of the White Fox family."
Five women and one man were killed during the attacks, with 12 still in hospital.
A nine-month-old baby was among those stabbed and underwent surgery last night. The baby remains in a serious condition.
The baby's mother Ashlee Good was killed in the stabbings, with tributes being paid by family today.
“Today we are reeling from the terrible loss of Ashlee, a beautiful mother, daughter, sister, partner, friend, all round outstanding human, and so much more.
“We appreciate the well wishes and thoughts of members of the Australian public who have expressed an outpouring of love for Ashlee and our baby girl.
“We can report that after hours of surgery yesterday our baby is doing well. We are so grateful for the expert care and attention of the medical team at Sydney Children’s Hospital.”
The family also gave thanks to the two men who cared for Good’s baby daughter.
“The two men who held and cared for our baby when Ashlee could not - words cannot express our gratitude.”
