Two motorcyclists die in separate North Island crashes

Two motorcyclists have died in separate North Island crashes today.

The first death happened in an accident near Raglan this afternoon.

Police responded to a crash between a car and motorcycle on Ohautira Rd around 2pm.

"Sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene," a police spokesperson said.

The road was closed for a time after the crash but has since reopened.

The second fatality was in Auckland's Mangere around 6pm.

Police said the motorcyclist died in a single vehicle crash on Oruarangi Rd.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
