Two 18-year-old women killed in Nelson off-roading accident named

Police have released the names of the two young women who died in an off-roading accident in Mount Richmond Forest Park, near Nelson on Monday.

Police said they were Joanna Lois Beach and Bondi Reihana Richmond, both 18 years old, from Waikawa — a small settlement in Marlborough.

"Police extend their condolences to their family and friends at this difficult time," police said.

An investigation into the cause of the crash remained ongoing.
