Person critically injured in crash at Auckland's Point Chevalier

One person has been critically injured in a crash between a car and a pedestrian in Auckland's Point Chevalier yesterday evening.

Officers were called to the scene on Great North Rd between Point Chevalier Rd and Huia Road around 5.35pm.

"One person has suffered critical injuries following the incident," a spokesperson said.

Police confirmed the road would remain closed for some time while the Serious Crash Unit investigates.
