Bluey house 'listed for sale' in Brisbane

April 9, 2024

The Heeler family from beloved Australian kids’ cartoon Bluey have "listed their home" for sale in Brisbane.

The show centres on Bluey, an energetic six-year-old Blue Heeler and her family as they get up to adventures.

The “quaint, animated family home” in an “undisclosed Brisbane location” – but possibly in the suburbs of Red Hill or The Gap – was listed on real estate website Domain ahead of a special 28-minute episode, Nine reports.

It was described as "quintessential Queenslander" with "mid-century design aesthetics offset by whimsical touches", according to Domain.

The three bedroom, "four (ish)" bathroom heritage house also boasted bi-fold doors, a large deck, cosy work from spaces and "mysterious hallways that don't logically seem to join spaces together but always feel cohesive and purposeful".

While no price was listed, the hilltop property overlooking Mount Coot-Tha, a house in Brisbane was estimated by CoreLogic to have a median cost of $817,564.

The listing was a characteristically fun promotion for a Bluey special episode, The Sign, which would air on ABC Kids and ABC iview on Sunday, April 14 in Australia.

All Bluey episodes can be found on the TVNZ+ website.
