One dead after crash in Christchurch's Aranui

One person has died after a crash in the Christchurch suburb of Aranui last night.

Police were alerted to the single-vehicle crash on Hampshire St at about 9.45pm.

"The person died at the scene," a police spokesperson said this morning.

"The Serious Crash Unit attended and enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing."
