One dead after quad bike crash near Hastings

One person has died following a quad bike crash in Hawke's Bay yesterday.

Emergency services responded to an incident at around 2.30pm on Saturday.

It occurred on a private property in Crownthorpe, near Hastings.

"Sadly, the person died at the scene," a police spokesperson said.

Inquiries are ongoing, and the Serious Crash Unit and WorkSafe have been notified.
