Blues quickfire second half tries put Crusaders to the sword

The Blues have put out a strong performance against a struggling Crusaders side to win 26-6 at Eden Park. This win is the Blues first against the Crusaders at Eden Park in 10 years.

The scoreline was close at half time but the Blues managed to capitalise on the Crusaders poor discipline, scoring back-to-back tries early in the second half.

Willi Heinz and Sevu Reece both went to the bin either side of half time and these incidents combined as a turning point in the match as the Blues managed to convert their numbers advantage into points.

Blues captain Patrick Tuipulotu notched his 100th game for the Auckland side and was part of the last Blues team to beat the Crusaders at Eden Park 10 years ago.
