A person has died — despite the efforts of volunteers and members of the public — after a single-vehicle crash in North Otago.
Emergency services responded to the crash on Shines Road, Island Cliff around 9.30am where the vehicle had rolled.
"One person was located deceased at the scene and the road was blocked," a spokesperson said.
A scene examination was carried out by police alongside the Serious Crash Unit.
Enquiries remained ongoing into the cause of the crash and WorkSafe had been advised.
