The X account of a far-right Austrian figure who communicated with the Christchurch mosque mass murderer before the 2019 atrocity has been reactivated, The Guardian has reported.
Martin Sellner's account was banned from Twitter in 2020 under previous management.
Sellner was subject to searches by Austrian authorities in 2019 after suspicions were raised that he was cooperating with Brenton Tarrant. It had been revealed the terrorist had donated $2692 to Sellner's Identitarian organisation and the pair had exchanged emails.

Sellner denied any involvement in the 2019 attacks and said the pair never met when the killer visited Austria in 2018.
Sellner has now praised Musk for restoring his X account.
"I'm happy and grateful to be back on Twitter/X. I would especially like to thank Musk for making this platform more open again," a translation of his tweet read. "Hope the trend continues and everyone else who has been banned comes back."
Musk replied "Is this legal?" after Sellner posted a video about Swiss police shutting down an event he was speaking at and said he had been banned from a Swiss canton for two months.
Sellner has also recently been banned from entering Germany.
