In Waitematā, a 17-year-old boy was arrested following the aggravated robbery of a New Lynn petrol station on February 24.

That was followed by the arrest of a 14-year-old boy today for a "raft of alleged offending". Bright said officers were also "following positive lines of enquiry" following the aggravated robbery of a Māngere Bridge petrol station.

She warned members of the public to "be cautious if they come across products taken from these stores, offered at cheaper rates".

"It’s likely these may be stolen, and we need to hear from you."
