A person has been arrested and charged after a man was found dead in a Raglan driveway last week.
Cedric Maniapoto, 58, was found dead in a driveway on Ohautira Rd on the morning of March 5.
A medium-sized brown and white dog named Napier turned up at a local store in Te Uku with a gunshot wound on the same morning Maniapoto was found dead.
The store was around 7km from the scene where Maniapoto was found. It had not been established how Napier made his way to the store.
A 29-year-old Waikato man was due to appear in the Hamilton District Court tomorrow charged with his murder, Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson said in a statement.
"The investigation team has been working tirelessly to gather evidence in the case and are pleased with the outcome so far," he said.
"Enquiries are ongoing and police are not ruling out further arrests."
Anyone who saw a red-coloured 1992 Toyota Camry station wagon in the Te Mata, Te Uku and Raglan areas on the morning of March 5 was being asked to contact police.
