A person has died following a two-vehicle crash involving a car and motorbike in Auckland this evening.
Police say they were called to the scene on Rimu St, near Nikau St, in New Lynn around 5.50pm.
A man was taken to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
The road remains blocked as police, including the serious crash unit, carry out a scene examination.

Anyone who saw a Harley Davidson motorbike being driven dangerously between Great North Rd, Rata St and Rimu St; has CCTV footage of the incident; or saw the car prior to the crash has been asked to contact police.
