Luuka Jones will compete at her fifth Olympic Games in Paris this year.

Luuka Jones is set to compete in her fifth Olympic Games in Paris, becoming the third NZ female athlete to compete at five editions of the Games.

The Kiwi Olympian took home a silver medal at the 2016 Games in Rio to become the first Kiwi to win an Olympic medal in the sport.

“To be going to my fifth Olympics is crazy,” said Jones.

“It’s something I never dreamed of as a kid but I’m extremely grateful for the career that I’ve had and the experiences that I’ve had.”

Dame Valerie Adams and Barbara Kendall also went to five Olympics.

Alongside Jones, 28-year-old Finn Butcher will compete at his first Olympic Games.

“It’s going to be amazing to go to the Olympics and represent my community and all the people who’ve helped me on my journey," said Butcher.
