Kensington Palace has released the first official photo of Princess Kate since she underwent abdominal surgery in January.
The photo, celebrating Mother’s Day in the UK, features the Princess of Wales surrounded by her three children – Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte.
The photo was posted to Instagram with the caption: “Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months.
“Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day.”
It was taken by William, the Prince of Wales.
The post follows nearly two months of speculation surrounding the Princess’ whereabouts. She has not been seen in an official capacity since December and underwent surgery on January 16.
Since then, conspiracy theories about the truth of her condition swirled, made worse after her husband pulled out of a recent event due to a “personal matter”.
Throughout the last two months, Kensington Palace has maintained that the princess is “doing well”.
