Diver missing from vessel off South Taranaki coast

A search is underway for a diver missing from a vessel off the South Taranaki coast.

Police are in charge of the search which began around 1.30pm this afternoon off the coast of Patea.

"The search is ongoing into the evening and will be reviewed again in the morning," police said.

Members of the public with any information that can help are urged to contact police on 105.
