The New Zealand Warriors have fallen to the Cronulla Sharks 16-12 in their first game of the 2024 season in front of a packed house at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium.

Despite having an excellent start, the Warriors were made to rue simple errors and ill-discipline in the second half that allowed the Sharks to take over the game.
