It's day 99, and with Parliament rising, the coalition Government has been working under urgency to fast track its 100-day plan.

The Prime Minister said all 49 actions would be ticked off.

When he came into power, Christopher Luxon called it "ambitious", and said it would do more in 100 days than the last government did in six years.

However, Labour leader Chris Hipkins said the process wouldn't take the country forward, but would "throw everything in reverse".

Some of the most high profile policies to go up in smoke included anti-smoking laws, which wre raising the purchasing age of cigarettes gradually, with the goal of reducing smoking rates to less than 5% by 2025.

Three Waters was also down the gurgler, giving councils control of water assets. Gang patches were to be banned in public, and phones banned in public schools.

Legislation allowing all employers to implement 90-day trials was also being introduced.

Health Minister Shane Reti said a new vision for Māori health was being embarked on with a bill to disestablish the Māori Health Authority, Te Aka Whai Ora.

The clean air discount, offering a rebate for people buying low emission vehicles, including EVs, was also being ditched.

Auckland's regional fuel tax was also turned off at the pump.

The previous government's blanket speed limit reductions were being reversed, with many state highways returning to 100km/h limits.
