Motorists have been urged to take extra care on the Auckland Harbour Bridge during rush hour this afternoon, Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency says.
NZTA said lanes had been reduced to two in each direction with a lower speed limit in place as of 4.55pm, but has since changed back to a 4.x4 layout "and will remain in place during the afternoon peak period", Waka Kotahi said in an update at 5.10pm this evening.
"Caution is advised, especially for high-sided vehicles and motorcyclists."
Motorists have been advised to "please drive with care and expect delays, especially for northbound traffic".
"High-sided vehicles and motorcyclists should consider delaying their journey or detour via SH18/SH16 (Western Ring Route)," NZTA said on its website.
