A representative for the Princess of Wales has cleared the air about how she’s doing, as conspiracy theories about her whereabouts swirl.

The princess had not been seen in public since Christmas, having undergone abdominal surgery at a London clinic in mid-January.

Since then, conspiracy theories about the truth of her condition have swirled, made worse after her husband, Prince William, pulled out of a recent event due to a “personal matter”.

However, in an effort to dispel speculation, a representative from Kensington Palace has released a statement saying Kate is “doing well”.

"Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess' recovery and we'd only be providing significant updates," the representative told the New York Post.

"That guidance stands."

Another source told the Daily Mail: "Catherine is recovering well.

“She was looking forward to a change of scene and will be able to take it easy in Norfolk while the children let off steam with William."

Kate’s recovery comes as King Charles has also pulled out of all royal engagements while undergoing treatment for cancer.
