A homicide investigation has been launched after a man died following a "disorder incident" at a Kāinga Ora property in Auckland's Mount Albert this afternoon.
Police were called to the scene on He Ana Way around 1.15pm, Detective Senior Sergeant Lisa Anderson said in a statement.
Anderson said officers arrived at the scene to find two people with injuries "ranging from serious to critical".
"Sadly, despite efforts from emergency services, a male died at the scene."

A second person has been taken to hospital in a serious condition. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, she said.
Anderson said police are now making inquiries to understand what has occurred at the address.
There will be a visible police presence in Mount Albert today and likely tomorrow while an investigation gets underway, she said.
"While at this stage, no arrests have been made, we do not believe there is a wider risk to the public in relation to this incident."
The pair are believed to be known to each other.
"Police will be ensuring there is support in place for those closest to the victim, and other people who were at the address at the time," Anderson said.
"We will be speaking to those in the area who witnessed what has occurred and we encourage anyone else with information that may assist to please contact police as soon as possible."
Kāinga Ora regional director John Tubberty confirmed to 1News the incident occurred at one of its properties.
"We're carrying out welfare checks with our customers and we'll be talking with others living in the immediate area to provide any support needed as this will be distressing for people," Tubberty said.
