Dunedin residents couldn't believe their luck when a "glitch" at the Waitomo Fuel Station saw 95 fuel advertised for only $0.82c per litre.
The image posted to a local social media page caught the attention of Dunedin residents, with one person quick to point out the error to Waitomo.
"There was a pricing error and as soon as we were informed about it, we corrected it," said a Waitomo Group spokeswoman.
She told 1News the minor error was made two days ago and was up for an hour before being corrected.
She said Waitomo honours the price written on the board.
"Some people just got a really good deal. From our perspective, it's fine, it is what it is," she said.
The incident occurred at the unmanned Waitomo station on Cumberland St, whereas the company's main office is based in Hamilton.
One user commented: "imagine getting that before it was fixed".
Another said: "that would have almost been worth the drive from the west coast for".
