Police were seeking public help locating a man considered dangerous, with multiple warrants for his arrest, in the Waikato area.
Nepia Taonui was wanted by police on weapons and firearms charges, as well as for breaching court release conditions, police said.
Taonui was believed to be in the Waikato area.
Members of the public were advised "not to approach" Taonui, but to report any sightings or information on his whereabouts to police.
* Police announced on February 19 a man had handed himself in "late last week" and was due to appear in Hamilton District Court.
