A pedestrian has been seriously injured after a crash in Auckland's Gulf Harbour this morning.

Police said the crash involving the pedestrian and a vehicle on Gulf Harbour Drive happened around 8.30am.

"Initial indications suggest the pedestrian has received serious injuries," a police spokesperson said.

Part of the road is partially blocked and motorists are advised to expect some delays in the area.

The serious crash unit has been advised.
