Three people were left injured, one seriously, after a crash in Auckland's Parakai on Thursday morning.

A man in his 60s has been left seriously injured after a car and a ute towing a boat collided in Auckland's Parakai this morning.

The man was flown to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition following the crash just before 10am.

Photos provided by the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust showed a ute on its side, a boat trailer resting atop it.

The boat could be seen a few metres away in the middle of the road, the ute's canopy a bit in front of it.

Items from what appeared to be from inside the boat could be seen strewn across the road, along with debris from the crash.

The other vehicle involved in the crash could be seen off the side of the road.

Police said the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Evans and South Head roads, had left two other people in a moderate condition.

The serious crash unit is investigating.
