Sir Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Group, has suffered injuries after a bike accident on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.
The 73-year-old billionaire posted a photo of his bloodied arm and bruised hip on Instagram, saying he was lucky to have escaped without any broken bones.
He wrote: "Took quite a big tumble while cycling in Virgin Gorda a little while ago!
"I hit a pothole and crashed hard, resulting in another hematoma on my hip and a nasty cut elbow, but amazingly nothing broken."
He expressed his gratitude for being healthy and active, and quoted a saying: "After all, the brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all!"
This is not the first time Branson has had a close call on a bike.
In 2021, he was involved in a serious crash on another island in the British Virgin Islands, while participating in a charity ride.
Branson is known for his adventurous spirit and has attempted several world records in his past. In more recent times, he has been planning to launch commercial space flights with his company Virgin Galactic.
