A 52-year-old woman has appeared in the Wellington District Court this morning over the death of grandmother Helen Gregory.
Gregory, 79, was found dead at her Khandallah property on Baroda St on January 24, prompting a homicide investigation.
A family notice published in The Post described Gregory as a dearly loved mother, mother-in-law, and treasured grandmother.
The woman, who was yesterday charged with murder, entered the dock while keeping her head down.

A teacher, she was granted interim name suppression and was remanded in custody without entering a plea.
Last week, the homicide investigation had led police to search the Porirua landfill after they believed items were discarded there in the hours after Gregory's death.
They were looking for "particular items that could significantly advance the homicide investigation", police said at the time. A search of the Porirua landfill was completed on Saturday, while the woman's address was searched yesterday.
The woman's next appearance will be on March 1 at the Wellington High Court.
