Person dies in single-vehicle crash on Bluff Highway

A person has died following a crash which closed a section of Bluff Highway this afternoon.

Police said they were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash in Greenville, near Invercargill, around 12.30pm.

The road remained closed while a scene examination was carried out.

Diversions were in place and motorists were advised to expect delays.

The serious crash unit was investigating.
