A shopping centre in Queensland has been forced to apologise to a woman who was allegedly kicked out by a contracted security guard over her outfit.
Madison Green, 20, was grocery shopping at Dalby Shoppingworld in Queensland when she was approached by a security guard and asked to leave.
Green said the guard followed her and threatened to ban her from the centre because "I can see your stomach", the guard told her.
Green captured the incident on camera.
"What's your issue?" she can be heard saying in the video.
The guard told her she needs to be wearing a shirt that covers her stomach, as "that's the law".
"How come there's a store in here that sells clothing like this but I can't wear it in here?" she asked.
Green told 9News the guard followed her into a supermarket and was intimidated.
In the video, Green pointed to another woman who was wearing what looked to be a sports bra, also with her torso exposed.
"So I can't wear a top but this lady can?" Green asked the guard.
"I saw her after I saw you and you're a smart a** so now you can leave," the security guard replied.
Green alerted centre management to ordeal, and a Dalby Shoppingworld spokesperson told 9News that Green was not breaking any laws or centre rules.
"Centre management has apologised to the patron and has been in discussion with the contracted security company and requested that they review their procedures to make sure their staff have appropriate training," the spokesperson said.
"This particular security officer involved won't be assigned to Dalby Shoppingworld in future."
9News approached the security company Valhalla Security Services for comment.
