Police have searched a home in Marlborough nearly five years after the disappearance of Jessica Boyce.

The 27-year-old went missing from the Marlborough town of Renwick on March 19, 2019.

Boyce was last seen driving a red Holden Rodeo ute. It was found three days later at the Lake Chalice car park in Mount Richmond Forest Park.

Her disappearance was treated as a missing persons case, before being upgraded to a homicide in October 2019.

Detective Senior Sergeant Ciaran Sloan confirmed this evening the search was related to Operation Largo, an ongoing police investigation into Boyce's disappearance.

"The investigation has been active since Jessica disappeared and today's search is the latest phase of our ongoing inquiries," he said.

"To protect the investigation, we are unable to comment on the nature and outcome of the search.

"Police have kept Jessica's family up to date with these latest developments, and investigators remained determined to bring justice for Jessica."
