A man is in a critical, but stable condition, after falling from a hotel balcony in Auckland's CBD this morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Brand said police were called to a hotel on Queen St at 10.19am after "reports a man had fallen from a balcony."
"Police are trying to piece together the circumstances leading to the man falling. At this time, no more information is available."
Several police cars could be seen outside the Quest serviced apartments following the incident.
St John responded to the scene with one ambulance and one rapid response unit.

"One patient was assessed at the scene and has been transported to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition," a spokesperson said earlier.
