A motorcyclist has died in hospital after a crash in Hastings last week.

The crash involving a vehicle occurred on January 28 at 9.27am on State Highway 2, near Connor White Rd, Te Hauke, Hastings.

At the time, the man was flown to hospital in a critical condition.

Police say he died in hospital yesterday.

"Our thoughts are with his loved ones," a police spokesperson said.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
