Two Australian teens are lucky to walk away with only minor injuries after a car mowed them down while walking on a footpath in Perth yesterday afternoon.
Security vision captured the moment the two teens, both 16, were walking along the Northbridge footpath when a car mounted the curb and hit them both from behind around 1pm on Tuesday.
One boy is launched into the air and hits a pole, with the impact causing his shoe to fly off, while the other was pushed into the side of a building.
Both boys were on their feet just moments later to check on one another.
The teenagers were taken to Royal Perth Hospital with "only minor physical injuries," 9News reports.
9news reports the 39-year-old driver of the silver Volkswagen Jetta was taken to the same hospital. It was "not yet clear" whether the driver suffered a medical episode behind the wheel.
