The priorities of boxer Troy Garton, the mother of a 10-month-old baby, may have shifted, but her Olympic dream is clearer than ever — she's aiming for a gold medal in Paris.
Garton, 35, missed out on the Tokyo Olympics but was back in the gym two months after giving birth to daughter Rose and is more determined than ever ahead of Paris in July and August.
The Commonwealth Games bronze medallist is about to travel to Bosnia for a camp next week and then to a world qualifying event in Italy.
"I'm about to go away for about five weeks without my daughter which ... I've been thinking about that a lot," Garton, who competes in the 60kg class, said.

"This is gonna be the hardest trip I've ever done but I know that that's gonna be the fuel and I really do believe that that's the difference that you're gonna see in the ring this time around."
Coach Terry Reid-Bachelor said Garton's attitude in the ring had changed since becoming a mother.
"She's got more aggressive in terms of what she wants and she's chasing it harder... I believe she's just tougher mentally and physically."
"I feel like I want it more, I feel like more's on the line, I've got more to prove," Garton said.
As a self-funded full-time athlete, Garton has set up a Givealittle page to help with fund raising.
"Yeah it's hard work but it's a really nice feeling when you are starting to pop like you used to do before baby," she said.
