Police release image of man after Whangamatā burglaries

Police are seeking a man they believe might be able to help solve two burglaries in Whangamatā.

According to police, both burglaries took place at neighbouring properties on Port Road between 10pm on Friday January 26 and 12:40am on Saturday January 27.

An image released by police this evening shows a shirtless older man riding a mobility scooter.

"We believe the man pictured will be able to assist in our inquiries and we are seeking the public’s help to identify him," a police spokesperson said.

Police would like anyone with information on the man's identity or whereabouts to contact Sergeant Will Hamilton through 105 by quoting file number 240126/7410.
