Firefighters have contained a grass fire in the Christchurch suburb of Ferrymead this afternoon.
Three fire trucks, one rural and one tanker responded to a one hectare fire alongside Tunnel Rd on State Highway 74 around 1.15pm.
Two fire trucks, one rural and one tanker are still at the scene.

A number of 111 calls were made due to smoke from the fire, a Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson said.
"Please stay away from this area and don't fly drones anywhere in the area, sightseers and drones both get in the way of our operations."
